It's exciting to come off non-compete. In one way, you're let out of your cage. Plus, you can more easily make money, if you're so inclined (and in this economy, who isn't?)
On the other hand, that cage was more like a wall barring your old work from invading you. Focusing on the rest of life became so much easier. And life is good outside of work, even better than I expected. I'm a reformed workaholic.
Now, I have a chance, a big glittery chance, to return to my roots again. I've thought long and hard, this whole time, about whether I would want to. And suddenly, I'm not so sure about how "reformed" a workaholic I really am...
